The TAMIU-SCAN Prevention Project seeks to prevent and reduce the onset of substance abuse as well as the prevention of the transmission of HIV and viral hepatitis infection among young adult Hispanic males and females enrolled at the university between 18 to 24 years of age. Participants in the project will receive evidenced-based prevention services provided by SCAN staff members assigned to the project.
Screening, Case Management, Problem Identification and Referrals, Prevention Counseling, Curriculum-Based Education, and Rapid HIV and Hepatitis C Testing.
