SCANís Rural Border Intervention (RBI) Program is designed to strengthen substance abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment services for adolescents and adults living in rural communities along the Texas-Mexico border. The RBI Program focus on providing comprehensive services by directly delivering services to participants as well as linking participants with available resources in Region 8. Services are delivered in Dimmit, Edwards, Frio, Kinney, La Salle, Maverick, Real, Uvalde, Val Verde, and Zavala Counties.

Problem identification services, substance abuse screening and assessments, referrals, outreach, community collaboration, substance abuse prevention education, alternative activities, and brief interventions
