sliding scale fee discount schedule for substance use and mental health treatment services

Services at Serving Children and Adults in Need (SCAN), Inc. are at no direct cost to clients at this time. In the event that SCAN loses public funding, clients will be promptly informed upon receipt of such notice. Clients will also be informed they may be charged up to $80.00 per counseling session if they wish to continue receiving services after the agency loses public funding. SCAN will implement a sliding scale fee discount schedule for clients whose annual income is at or below 200 percent of the latest Federal Poverty Guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This discount will be determined solely based on income and family size, with no other factors considered. Clients wishing to apply for the sliding fee discount must submit proof of income; failure to provide the necessary documentation will result in ineligibility for the discount. Definitions of income and family size will adhere to the current Federal Poverty Guidelines.
