What is Medication-Assisted Treatment?
MAT is a comprehensive treatment plan that uses FDA-approved medication (e.g. buprenorphine) to help individuals struggling with opioid addiction. Combined with counseling and behavioral therapies, SCAN’s MAT Program addresses both the physical and emotional challenges of recovery. Some of the benefits of medication assisted treatment include:

Criteria:
Must be a Webb County resident
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a diagnosis of opioid use disorder in the past 12 months
Must agree with the goals of the MAT Program and express willingness to adhere to program requirements
